His win ended class competitor Ross Chouest winning streak for the season. Shawn Lawless finished second in class in the No. 27 entry while Jackie Heinricher completed the podium with a third-place finish in the No. 57 entry.

The victory was the maiden victory not only for James but the Lathrop, California-based team as well. Led by veteran 24 Hours of Le Mans and IMSA championship-winning team owner Nico Castellaccio, eXclaim Racing/Migliore Motorsports debuted in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Series earlier this season. The program continues to grow on the shoulders of multiple podiums and the September 16 victory on the Formula One circuit near Austin, Texas.

Most of our fans didn’t realize that before VIR, Migliore Motorsports had a slight setback at Road America in the second race on Sunday, August 7th. The 2015 Lamborghini Huracan car had to have a new rear sub-frame welded on, new engine installed, as well as the whole rear left side replaced. With no time for the team to come back to the Migliore Motorsports shop located in Lathrop, California, the car was repaired at Chicago Performance and Tuning with team friend Al Uscinski. The rear sub-frame was repaired at Karosserie in Wayne, PA.

Once the sub-frame was repaired on August 17th, the car returned to its temporary shop with the Migliore Crew and team owner Nico Castellaccio, Albert Watkins, Kyle Kavanagh and Loren Burgess, whom all worked tirelessly for three days to have the car ready and in tip top shape for the next race at Virginia International Raceway, August 27th where James placed 2nd in his class.

Nico Castellaccio Migliore Motorsports team owner: “I am always amazed at the caliber of our team. We just have such an amazing crew. These guys know how to make things happen in a time crunch. We were also lucky to have the help of Molly Dickson, Luna Ferrari and Barbara Paolini of Lamborghini making sure all the parts made it to the temporary shop in time for us to finish.”

The next Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo America event will be Sept. 14-16 at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
